Secara umum, fungsi bahasa adalah sebagai alat komunikasi sosial ( soeparno, 2002 ). Di mana ada sekelompok masyarakat, maka di sanalah terdapat bahasa. Maka tidak heran pula bahasa di setiap daerah memiliki kekhasan tersendiri.           Bahasa yang digunakan oleh manusia sebenarnya sama saja dengan bahasa yang digunakan oleh binatang, sama- sama sebagai alat untuk berkomunikasi. Akan teteapi, pada hakikatnya suara yang dihasilkan oleh hewan hanyalah cara bagaimana mereka menyampaikan pesan kepada   hewan sejenisnya. Our beloved motherland, Indonesia known as maritime nations which have various tribes and argots. In this case, the diversity did not make a conflict but actually strengthen unity and integrity inside the nations. Linguistic imperialism is the dominance asserted and maintain by the establishment and continuous reconstitution of structural and cultural inequalities among languages.
